We built this firm on a simple frustration: too many good accountants are impossible to reach. You send an email and wait a week. You call and leave a voicemail. You finally get an answer three days before your return is due, and by then it’s too late to do anything but file.
We do it differently. Our approach is built on more than 10 years of accounting experience: clients get proactive, hands-on communication from a CPA. No queues and no phone trees.
Who you’ll work with
We’re a small firm on purpose. That means the person reviewing your return is the same person you talk to on the phone, and the person managing your monthly books actually knows your business, not a rotating group of staff who see your file for the first time in March.
Our team is detail-oriented by necessity. Tax law changes every year, and a return or a set of books that’s technically complete but poorly understood doesn’t help anyone. We’d rather spend an extra ten minutes explaining why a number is what it is than hand you a document and move on to the next file.
How we work
We think accounting should feel less like a once-a-year obligation and more like an ongoing conversation. That shapes almost everything about how we run the firm:
We keep monthly clients on monthly books, not December scrambles to reconstruct a year.
We’d rather have the tax planning conversation in October than the tax surprise conversation in April.
We explain what we’re doing and why, in plain language, whether you’ve been in business for twenty years or twenty days.
Who we work with
We work with individuals and families throughout Mid-Missouri, along with business owners in construction, restaurants, lodging, hospitality, education, and a range of other industries. Some clients need one tax return prepared correctly. Others want a full monthly accounting relationship with tax planning built in. Both are welcome here.
Where we work
We’re based in Mid-Missouri and serve clients throughout Columbia, Jefferson City, Ashland, the Lake of the Ozarks, and the surrounding communities.
